The first fine day in march. I was walking along the heath A fair maid I did spy She sang a tune so merrily a twinkle in her eye And her youthfulness it did enthral and trounce me to a halt And I never will forget the way She love me without fault Hair of gold and eyes of green of the like ive never seen And a frock of silken scarlet cascading from her shoulder down to her knee At first she walked by me And I felt my heart begin to bleed Then a voice behind me come here it hailed un to me I made a full about and tried to speak but the words would not come She said “be silent, fair gentleman, no words to be uttered here” And I took her into my arms Our embrace was warm and strong And we fell in love on the highway It was the first fine day in march

G Em Listen here to the words that I sing C G D As they roll of my tongue You have to be mad man to escape the fear They pump out dailey If sanity if bombing people and thinking its fine I think id rather be mad Am I the crazy one for thinking that is wrong Am I backstage at their show C D G Em Look there goes the madman with his strange point of view Look there goes the madman stay away or he may love you Look there goes the madman because he’s different to you Look there goes a truly insane man Education to me is like saying here’s the world on a plate And then kicking me in the balls Its not geared for me because I think and I am free Forcing knowledge through exams Its not good for you it doesn’t help your point of view Seems fairly obvious to me You come out the other side completely fucking petrified Pound signs for eyes lacking empathy Look there goes a madman with his crazy point of view Look there goes a madman watch out he may show emotion Look there goes a madman doesn’t dig the status quo Look there goes a truly insane man.
